LIFE AT AURORA

Aurora's PG College (MBA), Punjagutta established in the year 1995 were developed in spacious 1.25 Acre Campus with built up area  of 1,10,000 sq.ft. The campus is having hostel facility for boys and girls separately.  This college is one of the most successful colleges located in the center of the twin cities offering Postgraduate Courses in Management (MBA) and Computer application (MCA) with well qualified and experienced faculty members who are dedicated to academics and research.  


One of the innovative features of Aurora is its novel teaching-learning process that

  • Synthesizes conventional mechanisms of learning through lectures and laboratory sessions;
  • Conducts bridge and adjunct course to equip the students with right knowledge;
  • Providing career assistance to help members shape their careers through career counseling and identification of appropriate agencies in the area of career counseling
  • Practices interactive process like Seminars, Debates, group discussions etc to instill confidence levels;
  • Encourages industry-institute interaction with mini Projects, guest lectures, industrial visits and tours
  • Develops problem - solving skills with case study sessions and assignments whose topics are convergent of theory and practice.

INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT

LCD projectors in 13 classrooms for effective conduction of lecture sessions and ITL activities. Seminar Hall is now air conditioned and is more suitable at every season for organizing events, activities and festivals

Aurora is committed to the transmission of knowledge. The institution's primary responsibility is to its student clientele, and, in this regard, effective classroom teaching is Aurora's most pervasive medium for the dissemination of the results of its faculty's scholarly endeavors. They actively participate in the National and International Seminars and FDPs; and are enthusiastic in presenting papers. The institution assigns substantial weight to teaching in its process of faculty evaluation recognizing that excellence requires not only knowledge on the part of a teacher but a continuing in quest for knowledge, a constant review of curricula and modern teaching methods, flexibility and creativity in the classroom, and an unceasing effort to individualize instruction. Towards this Aurora seeks to measure the quality of instruction through both student and peer evaluation, and regularly subject its academic programs to external review by accrediting agencies. The college is proud to announce that almost 50% of the faculty members are NET/SLET qualified; most of them are either pursuing Ph.D or have already secured their Doctoral degree.

Three faculty members, Mr. Gnaneswar, Mrs. Deepika and Mrs. Gowri Deshpande have been admitted into Ph.D programs this academic year.

Dr. Neetu Sachdeva delivered Guest Lecture at Global Institute of Management, Hyderabad on the topic "Security Analysis & Portfolio Management" for Bcom Students

Ms. Arpitha, HOD, MCA,Ms. S. Vijaya Sree, Ms. Sri Pavani, , Ms. M. Chandana, faculty MCA department, Aurora P.G. College, Punjagutta, presented papers in the 2nd International Conference on Recent Innovations in Engineering & Technology, organized by ASTRA at Hotel Marriot, Hyderabad on 21st & 22nd December 2017.


Seminars and Conferences

8th-10th July, 2017 – Three Days Workshop

A three day National Workshop from 8th -10th July on research methods was conducted at Vignan University in which Mrs. A. Shirisha participated in paper presentation.

Mrs. A Shirisha contributed a paper on “Rural customer banking adoptability”. It’s an Empherical analysis on customer’s perception towards M-Banking in determine the customer satisfaction in the state of Telengana.


28th and 29th July, 2017- International Conference @ IIM Indore

A two day International Marketing Conference on creating customer value was organized by NASMEI-IIM, in which Ms. Sravani Chary presented the paper titled “Impact of Digital marketing on consumer behavior”


Extension Lecture 31st August, 2017

Ms. Renubala was invited for a Guest Lecture at Hindi Maha Vidyalaya for extension lecture on Cost Accountancy.


1st & 2nd March 2018

Mr. G.N. Satish Kumar, HOD, MBA Department conducted 2 day SPSS workshop at Chalapathi Pharmacy College, Guntur on1st and 2nd March, 2018.
